I just notice this today.
We can now promote plus promote an item.
The ways to think of to nickel and dime sellers is beyond me.

I was just looking at that on my PC. Shaking my head. Still have never used any of them myself. But kudos to those that find it worthwhile.

'Priority 200% more visibility, on average'.
On average of what?....as far as I know it was just started...so 'on average' of a 24 hour period?

As long as they have sellers willing to pay those extra fee's, they'll keep coming up with different ideas.
It'll stop when sellers say it's enough and stop using them.

Liz @valueaddedresource mentioned in her last newsletter that eBay seems to be getting desperate to keep its advert programs growing (60-70% penetration). I wonder if this is a desperate grab for more revenue?

It's a vicious cycle if everyone promotes.

It is the same thing they have had for years, they just changed what it looked like in the listing tool.
Promotions can mean everything or can be 100 percent a waste of money depending on the item. If the item has a specific name that is easy to search for then it is going to largely sell based on price.
Promotion is most useful for browsing items and items without exact names.

@12345jamesstamps Priority is NOT new. Nor is General . General is what used to be called Promoted Listings Standard. (Pay if a sale is made). Priority is simply the Pay Per Click model (PL Advanced) that has been around for quite a few years now. They changed the names a while ago.

Nothing new here. Same old same old. And the screen shot doesn't indicate ebay is providing any kind of discount, just advising the seller he can use ads. ebay has been reminding us of that fact since ads began.

@12345jamesstamps it has always been possible to enroll the same item in both a Promoted Listings General (previously Standard) cost per sale ad campaign and a Promoted Listings Priority (previously Advanced) cost per click campaign at the same time since eBay introduced the cost per click option back in 2021.
Both options have been on the listing form for years with toggles to slide one or both "on" to activate - it just looked different.
Here's an old screenshot I have from 2023 just as an example.
All they've done in your screenshot is put them side by side instead of stacked, which admittedly does stand out more and is more noticeable but nothing else has actually changed.

I am used to the general promoting.
However, 'Pay Per Clink model(PL Advanced)...and all that 'lingo'...I never paid attention nor even looked it up.
To me...It's makes me understand what is out there now in simple terms.
When I read posts here about all this stuff I really couldn't understand it all.
Not a full-time seller...nor do I need to sell to pay any bills from selling...I understand it might help more now in what it means to depend on sales here.
Would I use it...not really.
