Prices on sold comps

Was researching prices on a phone that I'd like to sell. When scrolling through I'd see them "sold" at a certain price, then when clicking on the listing to read further, the price it sold for on the same listing would be drastically lower than when I was simply looking at the item in listed format. Same item giving two largely different values that it sold for whether I read from one place to another.

Thank you for your time!

Sometimes when you click on a sold listing it will bring you to a comparable active listing. There's a banner at the top for the sold listing that you can click on to view the details. Is that what's happening here?

Regardless, you have a store subscription so you can search through Terapeak for sold prices. It will show you "offer" prices that general search won't. Go to Seller Hub > Research > Terapeak Product Research and set your search parameters. You can read more about Terapeak here.

If you still want to diagnose what you described in your OP then we will need more details and some item numbers or screenshots to view and help you figure out what's going on @jonthemerchant.

I appreciate your help. I thought Terapeak was reserved for a higher tier store subscription. Looking forward to utilizing it.

It used to be exclusive to Basic and above store subscribers, but last year eBay opened it up to all sellers, including those without a store. I forgot about that - I thought they had only expanded it to Starter stores. If you want to check out the formal announcement details you can read them here.
