Did you mean:

Pretty sure a little kid is constantly betting on my item when he doesn't intend to pay

Not sure how this is even possible, maybe eBay has no protection against minors opening accounts or something

I got a message with horrible grammar saying their best friend wanted my item and asked me to lower the price (when auction was at $50)

Now the auction is at $150 from that same "buyer" constantly outbidding everyone

Is there even a system in place to make sure they actually pay? Or do I have to wait and have my time wasted?

There is no way to force the winner of an auction to pay.

But as a seller, you can cancel any bid at any time on any active auction.  The sooner you cancel their bids, the sooner the auction can get back on track.  You can also put suspect bidders on your blocked-bidders list.  Good luck -- you're in a category that's notorious for attracting scammers and sport bidders.

Cancel bid: https://www.ebay.com/bfl/cancelbid

Block bidder: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin

No, but there is a place you could have and can still block the person. Go to the site map at bottom of page and search blocking buyers.

Not sure how you would know it was a child. Could be someone whos 1st language is not English.

If the buyer doesnt pay you need to use "unpaid item" on day 5 you can give buyer a strike and you will get all your fees refunded.

Most sellers have set up that 2 Unpaid in 12 months that buyer cant buy.

You could have also blocked the bidder when he asked to lower the price. Then he would not be bidding.

Thank you so  much! Didn't know it was possible to cancel all bids from one bidder. They placed like 10 bids, my item price dropped by like $100 but whatever I guess 😕

Seems like it'd be a normal thing to get proof of funds before someone can bid random numbers for fun on an item lol

I don't think betting is allowed on eBay.
