Postings taking forever to actually post??

I have noticed that for the last couple of days it is taking a LONG time for my listings to go live? I spent yesterday posting a bunch of rifle scopes and other associated things and they sat for hours with only 1 view, and then suddenly several hours later they started getting views.

The same has happened today, I posted a bunch of the same type of items today before noon and it seems that none of them are live yet? Even if I search for one of the listings they are not showing up in a search. 

Is there a reason why my listings are not going live right away? Usually when I post something it gets views right out of the gate and in some cases I have sold items within minutes of listing them.

Anyone have any ideas??

Gun parts can take up to 12 hours to index....

Why is that? Are they reviewed first before being posted?

Also, at least one other item I listed today that isn't a gun part hasn't shown up yet either and I posted it several hours ago.

It's always been said that some listings can take longer to go live.

I don't know why; but not everything is immediately visible once it goes live.

Anything in the grey area is reviewed prior to listing...

Policy states it can take up to 24 hours to be indexed.

It takes around 24hrs for all listings to go through indexing. And ebay tells you that when you submit the listing. Unless they've stopped doing that?

As I said, I have had items sell within two minutes of being posted, so clearly there is not always a delay and this is the first time I have ever noticed a delay like this.
