Since the ebay app updated about a couple months ago all my listings since then through the app do 2 annoying things:
1) i'll get notifications after a couple weeks or so saying "x number of items may not sell" then certain listings will be marked with a blue bar saying "lower the price to attract more buyers"
And most annoying:
2) ebay will automatically switch those listings to best offer the most troubling being the fact it also sets the minimum accepted amount based on random algorithms of the cheapest price similar but not the exact type of item has sold recently on the site.
Thankfully no one has bought anything using best offer. I price all my items very specifically so by doing this automatically ebay would make me lose quite a substantial amount of money by randomly setting the accepted best offer amount so low.
Setting these features should purely be the choice of the seller. Why is ebay insisting I make less money? That in turn means they would take less out of my fees if I sold items at more than a 50% discount. Anyways I do not set best offer at all before listing but I would like to know how to disable these two features for good otherwise the only thing I can think is listing through a desktop and not through the app to curb these features from beong enabled by ebay.
Just to throw it out there I would prefer no replies that defend these automated features in the slightest. If they're able to be turned off then that's all the help I'm looking for. I don't prefer to read anything that defends the seller losing money. I'm not in a rush to sell my items to the point of lowering prices to a point I wouldn't even break even on what I spent because again, that should be my choice to make and not dictated by an automated feature.

Now I'm no expert, but from what I read, it looks like listings getting changed to BO is an ebay glitch that is specific to listing using the App and is fixed when one uses a PC for listing. Maybe others will comment? If not I think there are other threads one could find that answer this;

For months I couldn't figure out why I had offers pop up on my listings. Now I either list on my desktop and go in and turn off the offer button for each and every darn listing on my phone or list on the phone and turn it off the first time.
Now buyers just use the question format to make offers. There really is no happy in an environment when buyers are learning we have no standards. eBay gets their fees and I get the joy of donation. / sarcasm

I'm not an expert in this area either but I seem to recall that the adding of BO only happens if you use the Quick Listing Tool, if you use the Advanced Listing Tool it doesn't happen.
Test that out because I do not know for sure.

It appears ebay is adding the Best Offer option to fixed priced listings and auto relist if you are using the Quick Listing Tool or the mobile app. If you can list on a computer, do so, using the Advance listing form.
To remove that option, go to My ebay > Sell > Active > More actions > Revise
You will now have to switch to the advanced listing form with more choices. That option is in the upper right corner. Once you switch, you will be able to scroll down and uncheck the Best Offer option and auto relist.

Ebay told me to remove the best offer on my listings and then go to site preferences- third party authorizations and remove them BUT the re-appear every day and it starts all over again. Will advanced option elimiate this entirely?
