Please explain the technical issue board

Isn't this board for us to log tech issues so ebay can fix them? Or is this just where users can go to see the things that are not working correctly?

That is probably a notice that needs to be taken down. It may suit eBay's agenda, but is demonstrably false based on actual observation.

eBay COULD be lurking in the background, logging issues, and working on fixes, but you would think they would acknowledge it once in a while. They do not.

About the only time eBay surfaces in that forum is when explicitly summoned, or when a general (usually multi forum) shotgun blast post is published stating eBay is aware of or has fixed a very widespread issue.

So the correct answer would be that that forum is a place to seek help for actual technical issues where other users may have some answers or workarounds, and/or to gather info and call for eBay to get involved if an actual technical issue (not "My sales are down - fix it!" or "I chose the wrong shipping options in the listing and buyer was undercharged!")

It exists so that eBay has somewhere to direct those who are experiencing technical issues, otherwise known as the “black hole” and internally referred to as the “brush off” when referred there by Customer Service.

It takes a lot to actually get eBay's attention. But they did tell us this is the correct place to go...
