Please Check Your Variation Listings In Search

I was just doing a search for my ornaments, using the term  Recycled Can Ornaments.  My variation composite/stitched photos are not showing at all for any of my variation listings.  The images being returned are random single items from within the variation and not all items from the variation listings are shown as individuals.  

Is anyone else seeing this?  Do we know if this is an intentional change?

Yeah, just a few posts down. My post was only about sold search, but you're right that it's happening in active search, too.

Oh boy...I am seeing this for my active listings!  Search is only returning single items and not even all of the items.  Just one page returning items and I have almost 1,000 items in my 100 listings. 

I hope this is a glitch and not an intentional Thursday night update.

I noticed the same thing when looking in my ebay store.

The picture that shows is of a random "variation" photo instead of the "default"  photo like it's supposed to.

As usual, a new glitch occurs as a result of Thursday night maintenance and gets reported on a Friday which means we get to deal with this throughout the weekend at minimum. Weekends are always higher sales volume for me so things like this have an impact.

They should switch it to Monday or Tuesday night maintenance so when something breaks the corporate staff will be working the next few days and can push for a fix.

@Anonymous, could you get this reported? I'm tagging you because I saw you actively posting earlier. Variation listings aren't showing the correct lead image in search - they're showing an image from a random variation within the listing.

Thank you for tagging Trinton.  I tagged Brian T. earlier today but no one came, so I reported the problem through concierge chat.   Neither one will be showing up now because of the weekend.  

Another respected poster shared with me that this has been happening off and on for over a year without a fix.  This is the first time I have seen this happen to my variation listings.  This is bad...not one sale at all so far today.

I noticed this yesterday on my listings in the Crafts > Needlecrafts & Yarn > Spinning & Felting > Roving Wool & Fibres category.

My listings in the Crafts > Fabric category are unaffected.

Only two sales since yesterday in the affected category - and one of those was from a regular customer who probably has me saved in her watch list.

All of my items, across three categories including Home & Garden, Collectibles and Crafts are affected.  I see you are in the UK, so looks like eBay broke things on a global level 😟

I've had this happen off and on for a very long time.  For me this isn't new.  I don't remember how long it has been happening, but at least well into last year.

It isn't a new one for me.  But I'm glad that so many of you have not dealt with it as long as I have.  I just got so use to seeing it I almost forgot it was an issue.  LOL
