Sellers,

All of you whom are selling DJ controllers need to be aware if you are not that showing the serial number of a controller in images could prevent a buyer from activating software for that controller if someone "uses" the serial number from your images. Brands like Native Instruments require a serial number to get on their site and download the needed software. These are one use numbers and linked to an email unless ownership is transferred. The bottom of the unit is never seen by anyone so there is really no need to show it anyways. If it is scratched just mention it to cover yourselves or blur/obscure the serial number.

A good point that you made regarding the S/N but sadly sellers have to show S/N's on electronics in the listing in today's world so that they can prevent a switcheroo with a buyer sending back a broken unit.

Perhaps if the sellers only show the last part of the S/N that would help both out.
