I sell many items that I may have more than one of, I used to show the whole pile or separate sides of coins, and in few cases the buyer thought he/she was getting them ALL for the price of one. Even with overlaid text in bold letters, a disclaimer that you are getting ONE (1) only it still sometimes happens. YES I do know how to do more than one in the offerings area. As of late I have been showing only one item.

There have been sellers reporting that buyers saw multiple items in a picture and thought they were getting all of them. Your best bet is to never ever picture anything at all that is not part of what's being offered for sale.

This has been happening for at least 20 years, unfortunately. People will include a mirror in the shot so that you can see the back of the item, and buyers will open SNADs because they didn't receive either the mirror or the second item reflected in it.
Or they'll complain they didn't get the ruler included for scale, or the Christmas themed tablecloth the snow village was photographed on.
Don't stage photos, don't let ANYTHING get caught in the background, and don't put anything with written words in the image either, or they'll get you for circumventing fees. A seller once listed a two-way radio with the range of frequencies it operated on, and was suspended for a week because eBay thought it was a phone number.
