Permissions/Invitations

Good morning everyone! I've been trying to add a person to help do listings for me. I'm having an issue with the invite being delivered to the persons email inbox. It says invitation pending but its not being delivered. I tested the email to make sure its correct and they are indeed getting my email. They can receive and reply to me but invitation just keeps expiring. Is there something that I'm not doing correctly? any help or advice would certainly be appreciated. Thank you! robgat-94

Hi

You are only supposed to correspond with any member thru the eBay messaging system.  There is no reason for your pending customer to contact you via email or visa versa.  Corresponding thru email constitutes that you might be trying to take the sale off of eBay and that's a big no no.  Whom ever is doing your listings, tell them to keep all communication via eBay messaging...none other.  You also cannot send pending customers spam mail either.

Happy selling

@ckimodogI think you misunderstood the OP

I believe the OP is having issues with setting up a multi user account.

@robgat-94

You may need to read through https://www.ebay.com/help/account/multiuser-account-access/multiuser-account-access?id=5197&st=3&pos... again you may have missed a step.

If the recipient of the email doesn't have an eBay account, they'll need to create an account using the email address the invitation was sent to.<<< Could be why you see the invite as pending.

Thanks Diva

Honestly they stated email addresses so that's how I took it.  It read to me differently.

Invitations to join a multi-user account is supposed to be sent to the recipient's eMail address not through eBay messaging.

Have they checked their spam folder?  I set up MUAA for myself and several others off this main account a while back (abandoned it for now because of how limited it was, but it's able to be used), and I don't think I had that problem, but if they're not seeing the email invitation that's a probable cause.  It's also possible some email services just have problems receiving certain senders emails, I've heard of things like that.  Is it a gmail account, yahoo, etc, or a custom domain? (Don't give the actual email address here, of course.)
