I have multiple items on ebay as collection only as theyre too awkward and fragile to ship without possible damage.
I have sold quite a few now on ebay but every buyer then messages me and says they didnt see it was collection and either aks for postage and asks to cancel.
Once they have paid but asked to cancel can I just refuse the request and tell them they must collect. They have all admitted over message that it was due to them not reading the description.
Also if I accept the request after payment is that almost like me accepting that there is something wrong with my item because it seemed as though ebay wouldve taken a fee from me if id have accepted.
Just trying to work out how it all works and answers would be appreciated, thanks.

First of all, given your location, you may be better served if you ask your question on your own location, eBay.com.UK.
However, you might want to emphasize the fact that you don't ship more prominently in your listing.
You cannot tell a buyer they MUST collect. You can, however, cancel, using "problem with buyer's address" as the reason.
From your message here, I sense that you may benefit by reading or re-reading all the information you can about selling on eBay. As mentioned above, the rules for UK sellers may differ from those in the US, but, generally, they will be close to the same.

I would always cancel if a buyer requests, even after they pay.
As noted in the other posts, you are on the discussion board for eBay users in the United States where the rules might be different. Here, a seller would be credited the final value fee for a canceled transaction. Just be sure to choose "Buyer requested" as the reason for cancellation; if you make a bad choice, such as "Out of stock," you'll get a defect point on your account.
As advised, you should put the collection terms prominently -- in all uppercase as the very first line of your description; and in the title if possible. "MUST BE PICKED UP IN BICESTER." This is especially true for smaller, easily shipped items. The British term "Collection" is ambiguous, so I recommend that you use the American term "pick up."
I'm curious why you insist on collection for your items, which seem to be small and easily shipped.
