1. What # did you use to call eBay? The ones you find online are mostly bogus.

2. How about returning here and telling us what happened? We would like to help.  

ETA:  Since you're registered in the UK, you might be better served by asking on that site.

Also, if there has been a gap in your selling experience here, eBay usually holds your payments for up to 30 days.  And I believe that's mentioned in the Seller Information.
