99.9% chance it is the start of a scam!

Usually when this happens the "buyer" uses the email address to send you a fake notice that you have been paid and hope you don't check.

20 years ago it was common practice to ask for the PayPal email but these days no buyer needs that info.

Recommend you don't reply, wait to see if you get paid and if not in 48 hours start the non-payment procedure.

I don't think I'd share a used Kleenex with anyone that asked for any of my Paypal info.

Tell him his brother can transfer money to him via Paypal so he can pay the right way or offer to cancel so his brother can buy it.

It is a SCAM.  A buyer has ZERO need for your PP account.  NONE, EVER!

Simply respond back, if you'd like to purchase the item, feel free to do so.  Payment instructions will be given during the checkout process.  You have no need for my account information.

Buyer is trying to get you to send them your email address or phone number so he can send you a very real looking fake Paypal payment email, hoping you're too naive/ignorant/greedy enough to ship without verifying payment. Don't do it. Cease communication and file the unpaid item dispute 48 hours after item purchase.

A legitimate buyer will never, EVER need your email address or phone number.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

My advice was lame compared to yours.

CEASE COMMUNICATION is the best option.

When he checks out and goes to the screen to pay with Paypal, you can put in any login and password you want to make the payment so long as it works and there are funds.

Your buyer can log into eBay and go to this screen and his brother can log into Paypal for the funds to be sent. (This happens all the time at my house, it's my Paypal account, but I pay for things my partner purchases on eBay. We don't need a PP email addy to do this).

As everyone else said, it's a scam. You'll never see the money.
