I have a buyer who sent me a picture of her page showing she paid but eBay has her marked as awaiting payment and it is not in my PayPal account. She claims the funds have left her bank and she thinks I’m lying but I have no idea where her money is. It’s an expensive item I won’t ship unless the money is on hold or in my PayPal but it isn’t. eBay hasn’t even listed it as sold. She has perfect feedback and I don’t know how she could have faked this picture she seems honest so I believe her but I don’t know what to do. I called eBay but they think I’m crazy and said not send it if you don’t have the money on hold. Where could it be? What do I do? I have other people interested in the item I’d like to resell it if I’m not getting paid but I really believe she paid me I just don’t know where her money went because I never got it. Please help!

You can file an Unpaid Item Dispute as early as 48 hours after the sale. The buyer will then have 96 hours to pay. Buyer pays, you ship. The buyer doesn't pay, you close the dispute. You get your FVF credited and the buyer gets a strike. Two strikes and most sellers will have their blocks in place so this buyer will have a hard time buying for 12 months.

Double check your listing, are you sure the paypal email address is correct?
More likely you are being scammed, but just in case.

As dtexley said, I would verify your Paypal address is accurate.
If it is, then this person is probably cheating you. It is not hard to doctor a screenshot. And perfect feedback from a buyer means less than nothing since buyers can only receive positive feedback.
Open the unpaid item dispute after 48 hours, close it after an additional 96, block her and relist it and move on.

Buyer (cough, cough) has not purchased item, it would show as sold if "she" had. The screenshot given is doctored.
Do not ship, repeat, do not ship!

First, welcome to the forum, and congrats on your sales! You are a breath of fresh air to the sometimes cynical atmosphere of the boards, because you are giving this eBayer the benefit of the doubt and considering her problem from an honest perspective. (And not leaping directly to scamming accusations.) Ok, on to the issue. I have a couple of questions.
You said the item is not shown as sold in your My Ebay? If that is the case, you need do nothing because it should still show as an active listing, correct? Can you share which item is the one in question? I will look at it to see how it appears on eBay.
You also do need to check your PayPal address in the listing to make sure it is correct, as the other posters mentioned. If there is a typo in your PP email address, it will show as Sale Pending/Unclaimed to the buyer, but the money cannot come to you. Do you know how to pull up the listing form for the item to check the address that you input?

Yes, it does. At this point i don't know which it likely is, sold or unsold, until the OP clarifies.

This post is not about your issue, but i wanted to offer a bit of advice. I was looking at your listed items and was drawn to the hat and gloves. Adidas is a popular brand and the name should appear prominently in both your title and Item Specifics (as well as the description). The only way anyone will find your item is to include as many identifiers as possible in those two areas. Not as many people search with the description information which is the only place you mention the brand name. Other identifiers beside the brand include the color, size, fabric content, pattern (in this case, it's Stripes for example), country of manufacture, and gender. Look up Completed listings to see how other sellers list an item similar to yours. This will also help your pricing strategy.
In addition, when you upload your pictures on the listing form, there is an edit button that can turn the photograph so that you can list them right-side up. Right now nearly all of them are upside down and it makes it hard to see the item at its best.
Good luck to you in your sales. Please come back to the forum with any questions or for help. There is always someone here. Best regards.

To help other sellers - I had a similar situation where buyers paid but I couldn't see it on PayPal and the payment wasn't shown on eBay. I had updated my email exactly as prescribed.
After several hours of trying to figure things out, I eventually added the old email back into my PayPal profile. And it worked, everything went back to normal. For whatever reason, PayPal was either slow to recognize my new email address or it needed the link to my old address to function properly. I wish someone had shared this with me.
