Payments use to never be put on hold. Suddenly I come back to eBay and sell an item and my payments are placed on hold for an entire month? What's the deal here? I do not feel comfortable shipping out an item that I can't even see I have the funds of. How to resolve this?

All new/new-er Sellers have holds. Even those who took a hiatus.
If you do not ship those items, your selling career on here is over.
The holds will not be forever. Good luck!

Perhaps you could clarify your concern:
You might read this eBay help page to see if the answers to your concerns are sufficiently explained.

Pretty clear when the person states "on hold an entire month" that they are not talking about how PayPal provided great customer service and goodwill to their customers.
"Some how considered a risk" what by a robot or an individual with zero financial audit experience? The risk is when a company charges tens of thousands of sellers in fees and takes them from peoples accounts because a total failure in an update roll out.

Yes I've fully setup managed payments. And I am referring to eBay holding my funds. For one it is illegal for any company to hold funds to anyone who isn't a first time seller. I'll be calling eBay and if it's not released I won't be using this crap again.

Again, there are half a dozen reasons eBay may be holding funds.
EXACTLY WHY IS EBAY HOLDING YOURS?
If you cannot articulate your circumstances, no one's going to be able to shed any light on what might be going on with your payouts--including anyone at Customer Service.
P.S. Please cite the law that makes it illegal for "illegal for any company to hold funds to anyone who isn't a first time seller." I've never heard of such a law and would love to read it for myself.

I think it's probably a better idea for the OP to speak for him/herself regarding the questions presented in my post. Chime back in when you have something to add that might actually be helpful to the OP.

You haven't sold much this last year, so they treat you like a new seller.
New sellers can have their funds held.
To get the funds released, you need to have tracking that shows it was delivered.

Suddenly I come back to eBay
You were not selling for some time and have started again?
EBay has you down as an occasional/returning seller and your payments are being Held against performance.
The best way to raise the Hold is to ship promptly when eBay tells you the payment has cleared, and include a tracking number to show delivery.
Then after 30 days, you can phone and request that the Hold be lifted.
With Managed Payments, your money is transferred to your checking account either weekly or daily. I went with weekly, but some very busy sellers prefer daily.
Unlike Paypal, MP does not "front" the seller with the payment while it is cleared from MP to bank.
I have no idea why in this day of computers, the clearance still takes as long as it did when I was a bank teller in the 1960s.
It all requires a measure of trust, just as your customer, who has never met you, does not know where you keep your stock, and is going on a picture and written description, trusts that when he sends you money, you will send his purchase.

In my Message #4, I asked--specifically--"Are you referring to eBay putting a hold on your payouts because you are an infrequent seller?" You totally ignored that question, and yet, that's where the answer lies.
Your funds are being held because you are an infrequent seller. Period. That information is fully explained on the page I linked in that message:
"To help ensure eBay remains a safe place to buy and sell, and to meet our legal and compliance obligations, we sometimes place a hold on funds, for example, if there's an open case or dispute on a transaction, if your buyer reports a problem with the order, if your account is restricted or suspended, if you owe eBay money, or if you're a new or infrequent seller. If we placed a hold on your funds, we'll notify you by email and, depending on the reason, may request additional information from you to help resolve the issue."
"Additionally, we may place a transaction hold on funds depending on your seller status or the category you're selling in:

Do you ever not respond and ponder why others may have wrote what they did?

There is a reason it is called "MANAGED" payments. EBay can and does MANAGE them however they choose to do so. Is it wrong? It probably doesn't really matter it is what you signed up for as a seller under managed payments. By eBay's own admission their sole purpose in going to managed payments was to increase profits. There is an underlying financial reason behind eBay holding funds for an extended period of time but they will never admit to or publically admit that.

Your original post states you came back and now have a hold. Your FB shows a large lapse in time since prior items sold.
To e-Bay, due to the hiatus, you are treated as a "new-er" seller again.
You may not like it, but you really should have researched before starting up again.
Understand your frustration - we're just sharing with you that it is changed on here. Good luck as you work thru your current constraints.....

Been selling and buying on eBay forever. Not now. They hold my money, no way. I tried to contact them, but all I get is a stupid chat box. I am done with them. Their loss. I'd rather give my stuff away. I am NOT a new seller.
