Paying for an item

Hi! How long do you give someone to pay for an item, before you resell? Even tho I've given reminders......

I sent an invoice, e-mailed my buyer, and am just waiting.  It's been two days.

It's not my problem, what is GOING on in someone's life. I have a business to run. I've been screwed before and WILL NOT let it happen again. I am respectful and decent, as you CLAIM I'm not, So myob! Again, read my first line.  If your dad was so sick, you shouldn't be buying on Ebay.  Concentrate in your dad and nothing else. That's YOUR fault!

I can see that  happening if you placed a bid before your Dad ended up in the hospital.  Hope he is well now.

The good thing is you have been completely responsible and a good payer since then.

I suspect Ebay thinks you have other things to sell and do during those six days. That you're not sitting anxiously at your desk hitting the refresh button hoping that this will be the time that the payment is there.

Paying for an item

I'm about right in the middle with patience for a buyer to pay for something.  I don't do auctions, so the vast, vast majority of my buyers pay instantly, even though I don't list with IPR.

After two days, I send a second reminder invoice, saying I have their purchase all ready to go and just awaiting PayPal's OK to mail.  And thank them for their business.  Smiley Wink

If no payment in two more days, I open the Unpaid Item case, wait until it closes and I get my fees back AND that frees up the item to be relisted, which I do immediately.

It isn't anything that frustrates me too much.  A bit of a hassle, but not a *Biggie*...

And you should go to your Seller Preferences and opt to automatically Block bidders with Strikes.
