PayPal link is not working

I have tried to link my eBay to my paypal account and I get 2 different responses.  1.  My paypal needs to be in good standing or 2.  My paypal email address is invalid.  I have double checked my paypal email for log in and it works.  Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can fix this?

Do you have more than 1 email account attached to your PayPal account? Do you have the correct one set as primary? Go to settings in PayPal and confirm the primary email  address is the same one that  eBay has.

If you are trying to list an item with Immediate Payment Required and get a "PayPal email address invalid" message and you are sure you are using the correct address, try listing the item without that requirement. You may need to first upgrade your PayPal account in order to use IPR.
