I had to answer a bunch of questions, describing what the product was I was selling on 5 random sales, and attach invoices from suppliers for the product I purchase to resell on eBay. 3 days of no PayPal withdrawals or payments until they confirmed my info and lifted the limitation. During those three days I could not buy shipping labels through eBay/PayPal and I had to use stamps.com, inputting the addresses manually, to maintain 1 day handling time. I was not thrilled.
Im assuming this is because it was the beginning of the year, sales were brisk, and they wanted to figure out why we were both making money?

I am glad you got it resolved. I hope you can understand Paypal's need to verification and if you are still unsure of there actions a simple phone call to Paypal should answer any remaining questions you have.
Good Luck Selling!

My guess is the OP only sells a healthcare product which they make themselves.
131 sold...

Paypal will temporarily suspend, or even permanently suspend, your account for a sudden increase in activity. That's how they roll.
That said, I am going to assume that you verified all that with Paypal by logging directly into your Paypal account and not through an email link...you'd be surprised at the number of people who don't actually check their Paypal account.

They wanted to determine how you came by your products. That is why they asked for invoices.
