I had a package that was considered lost because there were no updates for almost a month, so i had to refund seller now it shows delivered a few days ago. The buyer is saying they haven't received it though. What can I do? It's over 800$ I can't afford that big of loss.

In the future, if a package in "considered lost", open a USPS trace and share the claim number with the buyer.
If it is indeed "lost", as deemed by USPS, file an insurance claim with them. You might still be able to file that insurance claim now

And remember the declaration by a Buyer that the package is Lost, doesn't mean that it is actually lost. It is far more likely significantly delayed.

You shouldn't list anything here that you can't afford to lose.
It just isn't safe.
Are you new?
Yet many sellers do sell items that expensive and higher and do make it work for them on Ebay.
While there are some significant risks, not all transactions are going bad. If that were true, there would be no sellers here. I'm not trying to minimize some serious issues we have on this site for sellers. But it isn't most transactions either.
Oh no, not at all! Not even close.
But, and this is a big BUT .... if you sell an expensive item here be aware that it just might get ripped off.
And when it does, you gotta be able to shrug one shoulder and figure that it was just your turn.
And, you have to account for theft and shrinkage when you price.

It doesn't have to be an expensive item. It happens at all $$ values of sales. But MOST transactions don't end up to be problematic.

I agree with slippinjimmy, Try contacting the customer & try asking nicely if they would be so kind as to send you the money for the item, since they did receive it, You could also try filing a claim with your carrier, Did you send it with insurance?, Expensive items i send with signature required delivery & insurance, If it doesn't work with the customer or carrier, you will need to chalk it up to a lesson learned, Best of Luck!
