What does this title return for you folks in EBAY SEARCH? "Vintage NTN Ball and Roller Bearings Catalog no. 230-B Toyo Bearing Mfg Co Japan" I just entered this title in the search and the first 41 RESULTS were of dozens of different items ALL PRICED between $2500-$20,000 from DRESSES TO TOYS, TO HAND PAINTED GOLD BALLS, TO SCULPTURES, you name it everything except a PARTS CATALOG. The thing that is even more astounding is the PRICES of the 41 items EBAY was showing me on the 41 items that have NOTHING to do with my search query, the prices were astounding. Nothing under $2,500

I get the same results. I think your search phrase is way too long. Even a google search doesn't show a match.
But yeah, ebay likes to show results that don't even closely resemble what someone is searching for. I run into that problem all the time unfortunately.

Ageed - when that long you need to use Advanced Search

my main point though was what is up with all the 41 listings being shown with prices from $2,500- $50,000. 41 different items ranging from antiques to dresses to toys to painted golf balls with the PRICES all being so HIGH only a millionaire or someone very well off would have the money to buy?

@ekmadonna I just did the search, and your catalog came up as the first choice, followed by the "Results Matching Fewer Words", which, yes, include a lot of stuff that is both expensive and appears to be unrelated to the search string. Why is this stuff shown? I have no idea. I'd guess a glitch of some kind, or maybe a test, although glitch seems more likely.
This being ebay, personally, I'd just be grateful that the catalog shows first and not worry about it.

I am not worried, when I first did the search, it was for research purposes and my Catalog had not been listed yet. I am sure I have the only one and am happy to see it is being shown. I just found it very odd that all the listings shown were for outlandish money. thanks for checking.

eBay seems to be moving in the direction of its higher priced goods. Have they started promoting high dollar listings? They have recently added features like The Vault and the authentication programs for things like status sneakers and luxury watches. So it is not surprising to see skewed results to put these listings front and center. It doesn’t make any sense, though, to give unrelated Search results to shoppers.

That's the same results as I found when I searched without quotes. When I used quotes, I just found the one catalog listed by @ekmadonna and no other suggestions.
I think that the choice of the listings showing up "matching fewer words" is probably highly influenced by the rate they chose for promoted listings.
