Out of U.S bidder

I'm selling a high end camera on ebay and I've specified "shipping to the continental U.S. only. I have a bidder, and when I look at his stats it says that he's based in Nigeria. I've sent him a message that I won't ship there, but no reply. What are my options? Thanks in advance

Out of U.S bidder

Nigeria is known as a scamming paradise, so I would cancel the bid and add the buyer to your BBL.

If buyer has won I would cancel the sale and Use problem with Buyer address for the cancellation

I would definitely cancel their bid.  Have you set your buyer's requirements to exclude international sales?

First cancel their bid:

Then add them to your blocked bidder list.

The one problem we still have is when an international bidder uses a freight forwarder to buy something.  Since they have a US delivery address it bypasses our international bidder block.   For example,  I don't sell to Russia, but they can still bid using a freight forwarder.  At that point the only option you have is to cancel a transaction as a problem with the buyer's address.  Some posters will tell you that it's OK to ship when it's a US Address, but experience shows that we can still have problems with scammers especially with any type of expensive item.   Cameras are a risky category.  Therefore, you just have to decide if it's worth the risk.
