I have had 3 separate returns opened this last week by buyers who intentionally ordered an item they knew was too big for them, and then upon receipt of said item sent a message asking if I had it in size xx versus the one they got. After the Oh I'm sorry but no message from me, the return request was opened. I include measurements so the sizing can be the most accurate as possible. And I am aware not every item fits every body the same. However, can anyone help shed insight into why (for example) people are buying size 5x items when they really need a 2x? I had one person who got added to my special list for repeatedly asking if a Size 6x item would fit her when she normally wears a 1-2x. After advising the measurements I still got the same darn question. Ugh...common sense! Where is it at anymore?

Common sense, where is it?
It seems to have left the planet.
If a buyer orders something too big, they should realize that they are paying for the return shipping if they have to send it back, and take that into consideration.
I know returns are a hassle but many buyers don't seem to stop to think that it is also a hassle for them. My Mom taught us to be sure of what you are buying before you buy it, because returns are a waste of your time, energy, and money. I'm a buyer. I don't buy looking to return.
Hopfully you take returns and since fit is a buyer's remorse reason, the buyers will be paying the return postage back to you. Sorry this happened to you. I think clothing sellers have a very hard job.
Have also read of instances where the buyer requests a return but has not done the Math, and does not realize that after they pay return shipping, and original shipping, which comes off the item price, they may get back a dollar, if that.

I do accept returns. And honestly, up until this last quarter I have done a 3% return rate...which is great for clothing. But this sudden spike of returns makes me worry a bit about the future of selling special sizes. I focus on that niche due to having a family of giants and knowing first hand how difficult it is finding a 36-38" inseam or larger sizes. I had a girlfriend who made her own clothing due to the difficulty of finding stuff that fits.
I personally am not a returner. I hate returning anything. I will list it here or give said item away. I am a woman and I know how hard it is to find sizes and I also know I'll be darned if I willingly buy something several sizes too big just to hope it fits. I would rather buy something too small and hope it fits ha!
