Order Earning Calculation for Seller

When it comes to the calculation of actual earnings from an order, Listing Price, Ebay Sales Tax, Standard Ad fee Percentage, Add Up Volume Percentage, eBay Transaction fees. It becomes bit hard to calculate exact earning. eBay should have a calculator on Products Listing Page, which can tell us exact earning after we provide sale price, ad percentage. Different States have different tax, eBay can add State list to calculate exact earning. It can be very helpful on Listing Page.

eBay does make it very easy as they do all the calculations for you. Just go into one of your orders details look on the right there is a grey colored box that says “what your buyer paid” followed by “what you earned”

It appears by your question that you are trying to determine what your earnings will be even before you list an item.

Actually you should have calculated all that information even before you even get to the listing page. If you don’t know your costs in advance how can you set your selling price?

As for the sales tax, you never see that money and it is never a part of your earnings. The only very minor part that plays is in the FVF on the tax. I simply use a worst case scenario. Let’s say it is a $100.00 item and the worst case is 10% sales tax. The tax is $10.00 of which I pay 11.99% for a total of $1.20. On a $100.00 item that isn't even a blip in comparison to the other fees.

As for your earnings after the sale that information is already calculated and published in the individual items final sales report. (see the previous response)

I think the OP would like that info 'in advance', if you would.

I don't see how that could be done (accurately) without the variants of sales tax and shipping cost, which you don't have until your listing actually sells.

@elegant-shoppers

You're located in the UAE and drop shipping from the US.  Not sure how that applies to you where taxes are concerned.  Are you actually selling & shipping from eBay or are your shipping from Amazon?   You may want to read this link:

Drop shipping and product sourcing

"However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed one Bay. Activity that doesn’t follow eBay policy could result in a range of actions including but not limited to: administratively ending or canceling listings, hiding or demoting all listings from search results, lowering seller rating, buying or selling restrictions, loss of buyer or seller protections, and account suspension. All fees paid or payable in relation to listings or accounts on which we take any action will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account."

Be careful.
