Optional listing upgrade fee

Hello,

How can I avoid the optional listing upgrade fee? I'm new to sell on ebay and just sold an item for $15. The optional listing upgrade fee was $9 which I really don't know how I got this fee.

Pay very close attention when you are listing.

If options are selected, it should tell you the cost of the listing at the page bottom before you finalize.

If you don't want the extra fees, untick all the option boxes. 

Also auctions with reserves are expensive, better and free to just use a starting price.

There's a $1.50 fee when you add a subtitle to a fixed price listing. You can see all the optional listing upgradedfees here:
