On the subject of China Sellers and all things related- Read this article

Educating the Public is the only answer to a complicated problem. Ebay is merely in the China sales as it is a money maker, the growing trend et.

We have a huge trade trade deficit with China (300 billion plus ) and then a loss 280 million plus ( i believe that was the figure) on E-packets thru the UN postal deal. It's like the double whammy.

Don't know if it is ok to post  direct link so I will just say the article will come up on Google if you search the US trade deficit with China.

It doesn't make sense, does it?

Good points, though.

US eBay sellers could be helping out the situation by aggressively selling Internationally (to China or to ANYWHERE). Buy $10 worth of goods from China and sell $10 worth of goods to Germany = $0 trade deficit

Interesting newspaper article just a couple of days ago... latest quarter our trade imbalance has lessened already, so heading in the right direction.

I watched an interview that Oprah did almost 25 years ago with Donald Trump.  Even at that time, in that interview, he said we had to end or slow down the direction we were going with regards to China and handing over so much of our manufacturing TO them, and then buying back the finished products at much higher cost.  We should have nipped much of this in the bud wayyyyyyyyy back then.  He said we were headed in a dangerous direction that would not be financially good for America.  Today we pay the price.

Pros and cons to it, but this allowance by us and effort by China in the last many years allowed them to build up an enormous middle class of successful citizens, but it has almost decimated our own middle class in America.  Older folks can look back and see what has happened and how diminished we have become.  I always wonder of the younger folks can realize it, because they have nothing to compare it too from our success and financial stand of the past.

I do some International thru GSP and have had a unusual amount thru forwarders recently. Deterrent for me is the false snad situation. Can't afford to pay international and lose merchandise. I have only ever had 2 China orders that I can recall, 1 recent and other long time ago. Most Japan, UK and Australia. Japan is definitely the most though.  Better majority of my items are breakables and lower to mid range so overseas shipping costs would not be feasible for most.

Would rather see sell 10 to China buy 10 from China. Crackdown on fake China sterling jewelry. Don't understand how that stuff gets in the country without getting confiscated. Thats why we have an essay system I thought. Maybe I am not up to speed on that subject.
