I'm selling an item as an auction, and when clicking on the link to a $275 offer in an email notification, I saw a higher offer ($300) being listed (which I never received an email notification about), which was marked as having been declined (which I never did).
Also, these offers only sho up when I click on the offer link in my email — if I click on my listing, none of these offers show up (but others, much lower bids do — offers I've also never received email notifications about).
This is very confusing. I understand that offers and bids are different, but is there a way to make sure that I consistently receive email notifications about offers, so I can respond to them?

I know, but shouldn't I at least be able to see and be notified about the offers that I get?

The declined one you are seeing is an offer you sent to a "watcher" that either timed out or was declined by the buyer. Those watcher offers you send end up there also - not something you missed. Something a "watcher" passed on.

I'm sorry, but I really don't understand your explanation... nor the logic behind this.
It did say that "Offer was automatically declined despite no higher offer existing" — so this means that A) there was no offer, and B) it wasn't declined?

Can you post a screenshot of the email you received so we can get a better idea of what might've happened? You can block out any sensitive/personal details.

(I'm selling an item as an auction)
On an auction were buyers get to bid on the item if you add the best offer
feature to the auction it is only active until any buyer places a bid.
Once someone places a bid all offers are automatically declined and it turns
into a strait auction to the end.
If you want to accept an offer you have to accept it before someone bids.

OP, mark post #7 as the solution because that is the correct response.

I understand that, but it's still extremely confusing that these bids look like I refused them (when I didn't), and was only notified about some of them, not all of them.
