SELLER UNABLE TO DELIVER HIS RECORDS IN FRANCE DESPITE HUGE SHIPPING COSTS AND DOUBLE CUSTOMS FEES THE RECORD MAKES A STUNNED JOURNEY OF 3 TIMES TO THE UNITED STATES BEFORE WALKING IN THE FRENCH POST OFFICES AND NEVER ARRIVING UNTIL IT DEPARTURES TO USA I DON'T WANT TO SEE A DISC IN A THOUSAND PIECES BECAUSE OF STUPID TRAVEL REQUIRE IMMEDIATE REFUND AND OF COURSE THIS SELLER DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO RESPOND AND DOES NOT WANT TO REFUND I ASSURE YOU HE WILL REFUND THROUGH EBAY

you are unable to deliver a fragile disc which has traveled around the United States three times and is wandering around the post office which never delivers and is claimed, plus customs fees already paid by me when I ordered. Lousy. I DEMAND IMMEDIATE REFUND FOR THIS STUFF WHICH IS CERTAINLY BROKEN INTO A THOUSAND PIECES GIVEN THE POOR ROUTES

 

 

Of course I have shipped 78rpm shellac records around the world for over 25 years!

HE HASN'T EVEN GOT THE RECORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I can't help VAT tax, I can't help the routes the USPS & French postal services use!

I asked eBay to remove the feedback, they said maybe?

Did you ship direct or thru eBay International Shipping (eIS)?  if it's an eIS shipment, he's barking up the wrong tree -- eBay assumes responsibility, include refunding, for the shipment once it arrives at their hub.  The fact that the tracking shows it's been to France and waiting on him means he likely knows he messed up and is trying to bully you into capitulation... refund AND he'll somehow manage to receive the disc... which he will then complain about even more.

 

That's the best part of eIS - you pay domestic shipping to eBay's hub and it's all on them after that.  There are only a few instances where they would make you refund, and non-receipt after clearing customs is most likely not one of them.

 

Check with eBay for Business on Facebook.  You DM them first, explain briefly the situation and if they can help, they will ask you for more details.

 

If you shipped this yourself, then you'll need to figure out how to shut him down.  eBay may or may not help -- the tracking details are in your favor, but that doesn't always mean anything to eBay.  Seems to depend on the phase of the moon, eBay share price, the angle of the sun reflecting off the terminal screen, and what the rep had for lunch.  Oh yea, and a few aspects of your transaction... but this other stuff seems to be more important.

<sarcasm mode=off>  I've just started shipping internationally at work, everything via eIS.  For the past 3-4 weeks, we've shipped something like 6 orders thru eIS, and all have arrived in good condition to happy customers.  Having stated that, Murphy is now free to gum up the next dozen transactions we have to anywhere, especially the inexpensive ones going to hyper-active, overly sensitive, mega-entitled buyers.  🙂

It's not EIS. If you look at the tracking, it went to Los Angeles, New York, and France. EIS only goes to the hub, end of tracking.

 

The OP shipped this himself and the package took the grand tour.
