Number of accounts per paypal email

I usurped this account from my husband in December 2011 when I started selling on eBay. He'd made probably less than half a dozen purchases and the same number of sales in the few years he had it. Within two months or so I opened my own selling account and a buying account. The buying account is linked to the same PayPal address as this main selling account. At the time, March 2012 or so,  I was unable to add a third eBay account to that PayPal account -- that seemed to be the rule, no more than two eBay accounts feeding into or out of one PayPal account.

So just now I decided to dust off my old selling account. I wondered what the PayPal email was so I went through the listing form with a new item expecting to see my PayPal address associated with the account filled in, but the space was blank. Without too much effort I could ferret out the email I used when I set it up, but decided instead to fill in the pvcliff email, figuring it would bounce. It didn't. So now that listing is set up to pay into our main PayPal account which suits me just fine to have all funds in one place.

So my question is, have they changed the number of eBay accounts that can feed into one PayPal account?  Or maybe I flubbed the account set up in 2012? Or maybe my new listing looks like everything is fine but there will be a hitch when someone tries to pay?

I have 4 eBay selling accounts using one PayPal account, but (1) they're all pre-2012; and (2) they all use the same email address in their eBay listings.  Somehow it feels more secure to NOT use the same email address for my eBay account and for Paypal payments. Especially since some of the accounts predate the policy that your ID can't match your email address.

You can put any email address at all in the payments section of an ebay listing.

One PayPal account can have multiple emails associated with it. Mine has five.

I'm not sure that eBay would know evem know that two different email addresses were associated with the same PayPal account.

Currently, PayPal allows 1 personal account (that you can upgrade to a premier or business account) and 1 business account.  You will need a different paypal email address to set up a 2nd paypal account..  You can use the same paypal email for different eBay accounts, or you can add additional paypal emails to your main paypal account.  Hope that wasn't more confusing than helpful. 😃

I do not know if you would need different paypal email addresses (than you use on eBay) for other venues.

Thanks everyone, but I think my head is going to explode!  So it seems that  I am not restricted in directing sales proceeds from both my dormant-for-four-years account and the pvcliff account to Cliff's PayPal at this point. So eBay will hit the pvcliff PayPal account twice when bill paying time rolls around without any issues?

I had expected to be having funds held from the dormant account until it proves itself again. So would they be releasing pvcliff transaction funds, and holding the other account's funds?

I've found with new IDs that sometimes they do and sometimes they don't (hold the funds)
