Has anyone else been experiencing slow sales in November 2021? The first 2 weeks were pretty good but since the 17th, my sales have dropped to a constant 0. I barely sell around $20-$30 worth of goods everyday, and I have been getting faulty returns to make things worse. Buyers simply open a SNAD request to get the seller to pay for return shipping & Ebay customer service is of no help even if you tell them that buyers sent you a used item, altered item etc. They never help out these days. I am relying on ebay to make ends meet & I have tried everything. Even been listing new items everyday. I have checked my impressions & traffic & it all looks good but it seems that there are no buyers? Can someone please help me out here? Even today I have 0 sales. Thank you

@Anonymous wrote:My sales started going down on October 12th with the new categories and item specifics.
Your Oct 1-11 sales: 9 sales, roughly one per day. Your rest of October sales? Seventeen - almost one per day. Your November sales? Twenty five - almost one per day. Again, and again, and again, these "sales have dropped off a cliff" stories fall apart with a modicum of review.

I agree that the search changes have seemingly put the brakes on views and sales. Sometimes, I can't even
find my own listed items when I search with key words. You may have noticed that when performing a search, you often get items coming up first in the results that do not even remotely fit the key words you used.
The "found using fewer words" search result is hard to figure out and often does not make sense either. I search using a 3 word phrase and expect listings that use those 3 words....not 3 results with an endless addition of listings using many more words and unrelated items.
Is the Promote Your Listing feature messing with common searches? Does it vault an item to the top even if it
does not fit the search? Are sellers using the specifics inaccurately to get their item inserted in searches of different items? Who knows.

Ebay sales down because the economy is not that great and Ebay removed the handy impulse buying mechanism, which was the pay pal account/card with a ready balance and easy to pay with or receive payments or refunds. Pay pal was founded on that principle--convenience--it was a great little pal.

Hi everyone,
This thread is getting a bit heated and off-topic. Please remember that, while it is fine to disagree with others, discussion should always remain courteous, respectful and on topic.
Thank you for your cooperation.

My sales on Ebay are so far down that its to the point it makes no sense to put in the amount of time and work to make the store successful. Other platforms are doing much better for me. I sell all different types of items and spend more time than I care to admit trying to make this work. Changing pictures, promoting ads, free shipping, relisting, same day shipping, listing everyday on and on and on until I want to throw up. It is so bad that views are below 10 per item even after an extended period of time. (Yes I know to price right, quality pics, right product, blah blah blah)
I really want Ebay to work for me and others but at this point I have become very negative towards Ebay. I will give it a few more months to see how it plays out, but I am not in this to lose money to Ebay. Fees are so high that you would think they would want to make sure all of their sellers are happy not just the large companies. Hoping Ebay turns for the better in 2022.

I'm from Russia.
My mcmilsh store.
Carved icons, paintings, panels made of natural wood. Sorry, maybe this will be regarded as an advertisement, but I don't want that.
I HAVEN'T SOLD A SINGLE PRODUCT for more than A month since November! Although before that, sales were going well.
I have repeatedly written to Ebay support and asked them to explain what is happening. I was told that they checked my account, my store and they said that everything was fine.
But I'm sure that's not the case! It was like they turned off the faucet, and I lost my income!

Ebay in the last two years has been making things impossible and almost unbearable for sellers. Starting with the separation from PayPal, then changing policies, it is harder than ever to clear payments, provide refunds, etc. It is especially a real headache for buyers as well. Further automation and lack of Ebay customer service is also contributing to a horrible experience for buyers and sellers.
I am closing my accounts. I am glad I am no longer forced to sell on Ebay to make ends meet.

not sure why sellers are shocked. sellers raised prices so high that people likely stopped visiting ebay. this isnt directed at the op specifically, but to all sellers. the poor search algorithm is one thing, the high taxes another, but i noticed there's less and less good deals to be found because many sellers are extremely greedy and asking for MSRP on used items, or even pricing it higher than MSRP. people will come back to ebay once in a while, but once they get discouraged enough times, they are gone for life. keeping on top of auctions is very time consuming and frustrating, but not even getting to that point because of over the top high prices on used stuff is appalling.
