Notification of bids?

I have gotten emails when bis have been rescinded.

Shouldn't I also get an email when a bid has been made? Is there some box I can check somewhere to make that happen?

My cell phone notifies me when a bid has been placed, with a very nice little "cha-ching" sound, like an old cash register.   Such a happy sound!  Just within the last hour I heard four "cha-chings" in a row!   Made me smile a lot !!
