Noticed first class mail is listed at 2-3 days.

If you're looking at your own listings, ebay is looking at your ZIP.
So...2-3 days is OK.
If you're looking at another seller, and they're Zone 6, there's a problem.

If so, it's been like that for quite some time now.

99% of my First Class packages are delivered within 3 days, almost all make it in two days.

The current exception is mail to the Houston area which get there in 2 days and then circle for 2 - 3 days more.

It's always good to announce realistic performance Goals, to avoid disappointing customers.

I have 1 Day Handling, but usually ship Same Day, BUT in my area, it takes ANY package 1 day to reach the Regional Sorting Facility, so a 2-3 day estimate for delivery, 1st Class OR Priority is usually late by 1 day. The same exact delay exisits when I order something, the Sorting Facility adds a day.

Ebay's time estimates are getting increasingly out of control.

I sold an item yesterday, PM shipping, and with my 1 day handling time, it said to ship by Monday, Apr. 2. The estimated delivery showed as Tuesday, Apr. 3, Michigan to Minnesota. I shipped yesterday, but this plays right into ebay's game of estimating delivery times based on how fast you ship historically, rather than your actual handling time.

A 1 day shipping time as in the example above is totally ridiculous. They've now taken it as far as they possibly can, short of showing estimated delivery as the same day you are supposed to ship.

That's 5 days from the buyer's perspective, and real time, their item shipped Monday, they receive it Friday that's 5 actual days from shipping to receiving anyway you look at it.  I am concerned with real time, not ebay time. Now I know how you figured that.

But even with your ebay definition, that's still not 2 days as was claimed.  And the buyer reads 5 days. So since I ship hundreds of first-class packages, I figure actuality for the buyer, who could care less for ebay's imaginary time.

I shipped a book by media mail from Ca. to N.Y. & it arrived in 3 days. First class doesn't always arrive in 2-3 days.

It happens more than you think, you just don't hear about it. I have a one day handling time. Everything goes out next day, and I ship Saturday as well.
