Not relevant listing details. Would it affect the search engine?

After the changes made by Ebay in expanding the listing details, I found out completely irrelevant populated details. For example I list a bra, and it populates theme "colorful", or it picks compression - back (there is not any compression in the bras at all nor any similar words I used in the title). It looks like a glitch or wrong changes made in the listing software. With such poor sales last month for a lot of l seller, including me, I seem to think there is a problem with the listings software and the search engine.

I have found it harder to search for items the past few weeks. You use to be able to misspell a word or give a rough description and you would get lots of possibilities. However; now you have to have the words spelled correctly and have very specific words to bring up items.  I think the search engine is what is hurting us sellers and buyers the most.

OK, I'm answering both above.  Looks like one of you is a seller and one is a buyer.  Yes to both of you. These glitches have been occurring since eBay "improved" the site.

I am both a buyer and a seller. 

Selling, the things that auto-populate are, of course, ridiculous.  You will have to take the extra time to enter the correct features (that "colorful" thing happens to me a lot).   

Buying, it is ridiculous the hoops a buyer has to get through to find an item.  I haven't noticed the spelling thing, but I have done a search for an item (Pants, 18W, green, US only)   and gotten very few results. The "sponsored" listings aren't even in my specified price range. If I close that search and do a new one, a whole new batch of green pants, size 18W, shows up.   eBay keeps telling all of us they are working to fix this, but to many, it seems like when they "fix" something, two more somethings pop up!

It has been three weeks since this nonsense with the item specifics started.  It has still not been fixed!  Three weeks!!  Why they even bothered to make these ridiculous changes is beyond me.

there are huge search issues!

Someone had stated in an older post that eBay created their own algorithm . That is all wrong! Fire that person who sold that idea to management.

Example: I use to be able to search "crown royal jersey" and get all matches and similar. not anymore! I also have to use "crown royal whiskey jersey" to see all other listings. 

I can give other examples, but I think everyone understands what I'm saying.
