I have a buyer that submitted an offer and I accepted. He later messaged me saying the invoice shows shipping fees. I do have shipping fees posted but he thought his offer would include shipping. He said he won’t pay, that’s fine..I don’t care but he left negative feedback when he hadn’t even paid. I was gonna cancel the order but now I will just report as a non payer. Is there anything I can do about the feedback?

Wait 2 days, file unpaid notice, then close after 4 days.
If he never pays during that time you can have the negative feedback removed.

It now says in no less than THREE places on the Best Offer form that Best Offers do not include shipping.
It used to just say it in one.

Hi...
If I send you an item number, can you make an offer ???
I don't know if I am in a beta test, but I am not seeing the same text as you.
The last two offers I have had, the words were different.

Dave, it would be the buyer that sees this on the form before they submit the offer.
BUT I just went in and started to do one as a test, and now all of the verbage is gone. It's very devoid of any specifications.
I love consistency.

And you know what, this could have to do with Ebay now saying that when you accept a Best Offer, you are agreeing to any of the terms that the buyer specifies.
So if they specify free shipping, you are now stuck, I guess, if they are saying you are agreeing to any terms the buyer puts in there.
That's disturbing.

I do a fair number of Best Offer negotiations. Last week I had one where the potential buyer made an offer with no notes whatsoever. I accepted the offer and sent an invoice. Shortly I received an alarmed (read - nasty) email because he said his offer included free shipping. I double checked - no words at all on his offer. I immediately suggested we cancel the purchase, which he chose to do. That diffused the situation, and I re-listed the item, sold it at full price to someone else.
Successful and experienced seller since 1997, over 70,000 feedback, boardie since the boards were begun.
