There should be some negative feedback when a customer does not pay. Right now the worse you can do is leave a message on their feedback page. you should be able to show negative feedback just like the seller has.

It's not negative feedback , but with a cancellation for non-payment (after 96 hours), it'll help keep the deadbeats away from many sellers' doorsteps with the blocks allowed. Take one for the team!
Regarding leaving those message on the buyer's feedback pages... they'll be deleted if they contact eBay about it.

Opinions vary. IMHO sometimes non-payment is justified if the seller is dishonest.
the worse you can do is leave a mes+sage on their feedback page
Leaving a negative message on a positive feedback is a violation of eBay policy.
you should be able to show negative feedback just like the seller has.
It would take 30 seconds for the buyer to create a new account and wipe that feedback away.

As you've found out, violating a policy by leaving negative comments in buyers feedback does nothing.
Why not use the tools that Ebay provides to deal with nonpayers?

And the seller will get a Defect.
Who do you think reads feedback?
The buyer doesn't care.
EBay doesn't use feedback to assess member accounts.
Your fellow sellers rarely see buyer feedback, since over 85% of transactions are Fixed Price/BuyIt Now.
The one who will read it is your future customer.
Who will not become a buyer when he sees you slagging off other customers.
Leaving false positives is a GSW to your own foot.

Are you not cancelling after 4 days, citing buyer did not pay as your reason?

I haven't been selling that long. I have had several auctions for non-payment. It is very frustrating. One was where she wanted a deal, I gave it to her still no payment. I even waited a week. I hope they come up with something better for non-payers. So, we don't get caught up in that big waste of time.

You don't seem to have replied to my question. Are you cancelling, citing buyer didn't pay as the reason?
Or, you can set your requirements to have that happen automatically when/if buyer hasn't paid after four days.

Something better than what?
You do know there is a system already in place to deal with non-payers?

You’re not going to get a defect for leaving written feedback for the buyer that is negative. Yes, it might get removed by eBay if the buyer contacts them, but that’s all that will happen.

Non payment is never justified! If you have issues with a transaction you contact the seller or eBay. Being irresponsible by not paying or communicating is just that, irresponsible and your account should be dinged for that in a way that is visible to other sellers and potential buyers if you ever sell.

Number two! Leaving negative written feedback is NOT a violation of eBay feedback policies. You are encouraged by eBay to share your experience in the feedback space RESPECTFULLY! Unfortunately, eBay has discontinued the option of choosing positive or negative as an option when rating buyers. We sellers only have the written space to rate the transaction and should take advantage of that RESPECTFULLY of course.

Ebay does set limits on the number of active accounts you can have under one name, one address and one phone number. So a dishonest buyer might do that a couple of times but ultimately will be shut down permanently. Also, sellers should be aware of this and if you suspect someone is doing this, report them as an abusive buyer.

It is if you are a seller. The policy is unambiguous:
"Sellers must not leave buyers a negative comment with a positive transaction rating"

Once again, leaving RESPECTFUL negative written comments are not against eBay’s policy. Buyers do it all the time and eBay will not remove feedback unless it’s deemed “abusive”.
