I have only been selling for 3 months and I have had 8 bidders that never paid. Does anyone have advice? Is this normal? It is really making me angry and the items are tied up for days with no potential to sell.

I had a bit of a look at your items and your recent sales......
My advice would be to stop using Auctions and switch to Fixed Price (with or without Immediate Payment Required).
You Auction listings are not attracting multiple bids, about 90% that get ANY bids end with a single bid, bet you would be able to charge more and sell more if they were Fixed Price because the majority of today's buyers don't even bother with Auctions, they see something they want, they want to buy it right now not make a bid and wait for days to find they were outbid.
Almost all the sellers who are complaining about non-payment issues run mostly or exclusively Auctions AND/OR Best Offer.

If a buyer hasn’t paid within 4 days, on the 5th day you can go to your Seller Hub to cancel the transaction using the “Buyer hasn't paid” reason and this gives the buyer a strike and you can relist. In future to have eBay automatically cancel your transactions due to non-payment:Go here: https://www.ebay.com/Cancel/Preference/UnpaidPurchase
Add buyer's to yout BBL and make sure you have your blanket blocks in place - I block using 2 unpaid items in 12 months as that is more restrictive to bad buyer's.

List fixed price, with Immediate Payment Required. No Best Offers.
Then go to your Buyer Requirements (see link provided by @downunder-61 in above post) and set up your blocks to prevent non-payers from bidding and/or buying your items.
Good luck and best wishes.

Anger brings wasted energy. Calm down, and look into how you can mitigate issues on eBay.

Haha, all these responses criticizing you for bringing up the issue. It is typical in forums. People are miserable and they bash anyone and everyone who starts a thread.
But I will answer your question. Yes it is normal and it has gotten much worse lately. If you’re going to auction sell expect most to not pay. I have no other explanation for it other than people, for the most part, are horrible.
The worst part is that eBay does nothing to help with this.

@pugnacious33 Would you care to point out the posts here that are "responses criticizing you for bringing up the issue. It is typical in forums. People are miserable and they bash anyone and everyone who starts a thread"
I count 5 (6 with this post) giving advice and only one who has abosolutely nothing to offer.
As mentioned by the posters wanting to help - make sure you do use your BBL and blocks, links have been helpfully supplied for you, so follow those and your selling days will be happier and these are tools eBay gives us to protect ourselves as well as issuing strikes to bad buyers - also linked up thread.
As to auctions, I would not run an auction this closse to Christmas - simply because too many people are wanting items quickly and don't want to waste 7 days waiting to see if they win the gift they may be bidding on.
Happy holidays

I have found that I am getting many more non payers since Ebay changed the rule and you can no longer open a case against the buyer. Ebay needs a good over hauling.

No idea what you are talking about not being able to open a case against the buyer, please read up thread on how to do this as it is now a much better and quicker process than it was before.

Closing out an unpaid item transaction, including giving the buyer a nonpayment strike, is easier and quicker than ever. It's now 4+ days and one step rather than 6+ days and two steps. Here is the Help page about what to do if a buyer doesn't pay:

I understand it is easier for the seller but it does not seem to have the same effect as before. One example is I sold a 14k necklace 4 times before the 4th buyer finally paid for it after 3 days of waiting. I never get this type of thing happening on the other sites I sell on. Not sure why Ebay is attracting these type of buyers.
