Sellers your no return policy is a joke.. Buyers can and do lie to return an item...
There is nothing you can do. Be aware!

It is not a joke, you do not have to accept any item being returned that you stated NO RETURNS in your sale settings. Should a buyer open a case for return you can refund their money without them returning the item, it is no problem at all.

It is just one of the many ways eBay sets up sellers for failure. I couldn't imagine starting as a new seller on eBay now days.

Good catch. Yes, 'No Returns' and no refunds are two different animals entirely.
Rarely can a seller benefit from listing with No Returns. Add in a bad buyer... you're screwed.

I do agree it's not very nice of ebay to spin off many of their policies as if they benefited the seller when in fact they do not, I am sure many new sellers would have never tried to sell here if they only knew the whole story behind this so-called policy.

Well, on the other hand
if any of us ever bought an item here for a few hundred dollars ...
and a scammy seller purposedly sent us some totally different and useless junk.
We wouldn't want eBay to tell us we're out of luck? No chance of a needed refund. Would we?

You aren't wrong. With how anything goes in returns now it has created a really low caliber of buyers though.

Don't worry, the way their market share has tumbled, they won't have to worry about it too much longer.
Ebay stock did hit a low spot around March 20 of this year and has been rallying strong since, it is now sitting at just over double the value where it was then and is now at an all time high. You should check present stock values via Google before professing such information, could save you face.
