Start small and avoid listing high value items. New sellers are often the target of scammers.

My tip is to search this board for the hundreds of similar topics rather than starting yet another one.

the best advice I can give you is to say YES to any and all returns

You have good photos that show detail. Keep doing that. Always take photos of the actual product and not a stock photo from the manufacturer.
Spend some time reading existing posts.
Don't set your expectations too high.
Look up the upcoming postal rates before you list anything else so you don't get surprised. That would be best to do on the USPS website.

Read this: Start Selling on eBay
The forums have a lot of information - please search using relevant keywords - if you can't find what you need, then ask.

scammers will ask to add $300 in gift cards to a sale. They will ask you to text them to get you off eBay with fake PayPal payments. Stay safe.

...take pride in knowing that you doing the very best part of your selling...
...being honest, kind, considered, polite, but stay firm on your own set ground...being professional...!
...whatever you don't want to be treated then don't repeat that to the others...
...seek for advice (in this forum) if you doubt...be humble to ask for helps...the good words will save your life from disaster...
...if selling on eBay is a hobby, let treat it as a hobby unless you are making living from it then there is a different stage...
...when you give your time in here, you are giving a portion of your life that you can never get back, so make it valuable, not regrettable...
...this is a business relationship, not personal...don't mix those feelings together...
...my conclusion..."God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference."
...wishing you a lot of luck and the best on your eBay's sunshine path...

Never ask a buyer to leave feedback. It will come in due time if you are good seller.

List fixed buy it now prices with immediate payment required, avoid auctions until you have accumulated some positive feedback. Accept returns, apply reasonable shipping rates and be communicative with your customers. Watch out for scammers as well. Good luck to you.

Hello and welcome!
When it comes to shipping, don’t make guesses. Package up (but don’t seal) the item before listing so you have the exact package measurements and weight to input on the listing form. Then there is the added advantage of not scrambling after the sale trying to find the right packing materials.
Invest in a postal scale.
Wish you much success here.

Don't trust the shipping calculator. Take your packaged item to the carrier and test some zip codes. You don't want to get ripped off on shipping.
Don't list anything expensive, unless you don't care if it's destroyed/lost/stolen.
Don't do anything a buyer asks you to do without checking with an experienced seller first. eBay makes a lot of scams possible with their impenetrable seller/buyer firewall and various "protections."
Describe stuff accurately. Don't leave anything out. Don't skimp on packaging.

Provided ebay is allowing you to sell 100 items, find 100 item to sell for free sans shipping. You can even go into settings and restrict how many times an individual buyers can purchase from you over the course of a period of time. The idea is to get 100 sales and top rated as quickly as possible as ebay has been known to give new sellers a search boost. Then you have to list every day or ebay won't wuv you anymore. Ship right away...i mean like within 30 seconds if possible :D.
