@Anonymous
Happy Holidays. My advice is to sign up for the Ebay Academy. It's a school for all new would be sellers and can teach you what you need to know to become a trusted and good seller on Ebay. Also familiarize yourself with rules and policies. What you can and cannot sell. Important. Also you should really consider returns. It's Ebay money back guarantee. No returns does not mean no refunds. Since you're listing auctions style listings as a new seller, watch out for scammers and sports bidders. New sellers are targets for both.
Here's the link to get you started:

Good luck should you choose to enroll.
Happy Holidays.

Read the user agreement in its entirety. From the 1st page to the last, don't skip anything.

Sell what you know, know what you sell.
Don't sell it if you don't have it in your own hands.

Shipping is the hardest part of mail order.
Do you have a Managed Payments account? Don't list until you do.
You will not be paid immediately.
Don't sell high value/high fraud items.
Read the Money Back Guarantee.
And a couple that are more controversial.
Don't use Auctions.
Don't have a No Returns policy . No Returns does not mean No Refunds.

Read as many posts as possible. LEARN. Take clear photos. Set up Managed Payments. Give Ebay any document that they need to verify your ID. You must give them the social security number too. That is the law. Once you sell something, keep in mind that ebay will hold the payment upto 30 days. They want to make sure that the buyer is happy and you are not a scammer. So if you need money fast, Ebay is not the answer for a newbie. Get a postal scale and a measuring tape. You will need packing supplies. Look at how other sellers describe their items. Look at sellers with alot of feedback selling something that you plan on selling. Every category requires different things. For example, clothing, you might need measurements not just stating men's size Large shirt. Someone might ask you what is the sleeve length.
Goodluck.

I did my listings, but until I did my first shipments I didn't know how vital this product research it.
Listen this doesn't mean only the product verifications. You must consider each and everything. When you list a product you must see whether the product is needed by the buyers, the competitor levels, the competitor prices, availability of the product whether its direct shipping or drop shipping. You must know each and every tiny detail of the product. At the time listing the price you fits a product then plays a major role.
Before you set the price for a product, please do consider the shipping cost, travelling cost, packing costs and each each and every cost that you will have incur for the product. Also the eBay fee which they deduct at the time of selling. Not only the product specifications but also each and everything which comes with the product.
If you did a well done research only the particular product, job done.
All the best to you

Be prepared to wait for your money and be without your inventory until ebay decides your credibility as a Seller! . Your buyer feedback is not applicable to your credibility as a seller according to ebay no mater how long you've been a member! Successful feedback of 10 and complete transactions including the feedback from your buyers will expedite this but be prepared to wait 30 days on initial sales until you get established!
