If you have an ebay store and pay for ads off ebay to bring people TO your store, you are wasting your money. The new search box... the ONLY search box allows customers to search 1x for something within your store. Any search after that gets re-directed to the general listings. NO OPTION IN THE SEARCH to stay IN the actual store. Ebay is really screwing over its sellers. My sales have TANKED since they rolled out this new store format... and I strongly suspect its because of the lack of a search box within my ebay store that will allow people to do multiple searches within my store once I get them there. Ebay keeps screwing over its sellers. I am beyond angry and at this point, after having an ebay store for well over 12 years, debating just dumping that extra monthly fee.

Although the search results are not shown within your storefront format, and instead shown in the standard "items for sale" format, the results shown are limited to items from your store listings. And further searches are also limited to your items, as you can see by the inclusion of the "Show results from all sellers" link at the top of the results next to the link back to your storefront. At least that is how it works for me when I search starting from your storefront.

not how it works in mine... did you get forced upgraded to the "new" storefront like I did? This has been a major issue ever since this happened to me a few months ago

I do not have a store. I generally do not use stores at all; I use the seller's "see other items" link, even for those sellers that have stores.
But when I start from your storefront and perform a search, the results of that search and the results of all the subsequent searches are limited to your items, unless I choose to follow the "see results from all sellers" link or go to a new page.

that is not what I get when I do a search, ONLY the first search stays within my store. Subsequent searches with any other word goes to the general listings search.... and some of my regulars have told me they are being directed away from my store to the general search as well.

I have two small stores and this one, my "yard sale items" account. Your 25 seller team "boycott" and the 80K you claim you're taking away is about a weeks worth of coffee creamer and sugar packet expense in the eBay lunch room. If you were and are able to get shipping supplies and Dewalt tools elsewhere for less THEN WHY WERE YOU BUYING THEM ON EBAY TO BEGIN WITH?
If you want customers to know something or to take a particular action then put it in your listings! I put a statement in my GTC listings telling lookers/watchers that I cancel the listings 24 hours before the posted end of the listing and tell them exactly why I'm ending the listings and that they will again be re-listed. I don't put complaints or bad mouth eBay, I just give them the info.

Hi @debk255, I tested this out both when logged out completely and when viewing your items through your account and can confirm that after multiple searches, your items are still the only ones being shown in search results. Every new search still included the notice under the search bar of "Items for sale from debk255" and showed only your items. If someone visits your store and searches for items within it, they will remain within your items until they either select the option to show results from all sellers, or otherwise move away from your store (ie. returning to their home page, clicking on a different link on the page such as the Daily Deals link, etc.). If you can describe step by step what you are experiencing when you are suddenly moved away from your store items, including the precise options you are selecting along the way, I'm happy to investigate further.

Yeah.. I called and complained to ebay... not first tier "help" asked for a supervisor. She checked it out and then transferred me to someone else, talking to them before putting me on the line. Took over 24 hours but now customers STAY in my store with the search box. I still liked the old in store search box much better. I miss my custom pages, which told my customers SO much. Now I am getting WAY more questions...... questions that typically were answered by the custom page links. ZERO higher priced items are selling since the change. I suspect the removal of my PAY PAL CREDIT link has a lot to do with that. Ebay really REALLY needs to hire better programmers and people who have ACTUALLY SOLD on ebay as consultants before making changes. It would save sellers a ton of headaches.

It isn’t costing EBay, it’s costing sellers - in lost sales and desperately paying promotions trying to GET sales.
Ebay is doing fine.
Thanks so much.

This is one of the reasons why I haven't opted into the new store format yet. I cross promote my listings and use the URLs for the search results under the old store format's search box. Now that the new store page doesn't have a search box, all those URL links will probably dead and I have to manually fix each and every one once I'm opted into the new store. Ugh.

Hi @bigdeals.etc, can you elaborate for me on how the old search box and the new search box provide different URLs? The new store format does still have a search box, it is just in the same location that you would normally find the eBay search bar - this actually serves to increase your items visibility, as buyers will search for items using the same search box location they are accustomed to and be presented with other items in your store.
If you check out the OP's store, you can see the search box at the top says "Search this Store". This provides the same function as the "Store search" option you have on the left navigation bar of your store. If I'm missing something please let me know; I will be happy to dig into it further and address any functionality issues that you are running into.

Yes I understand what you are saying. I see it behaves the same way as how I noticed when I first tested how the new store format was awhile back.
In my old store format, by searching "v neck" I get this URL for the results http://www.ebaystores.com/Simply-Intimates-and-Apparel-Co/_i.html?_nkw=v+neck&submit=Search&_sid=86816508
In the new store format, by searching "v neck" I get this URL, which is totally different https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=bigdeals.etc&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xv+neck.TRS0&_nkw=v+neck&_sacat=0
As I said. Once I'm forced into the new store, I'd have to change all these cross promotion links unless something in ebay changes about this. From what I remember, the "old URL" doesn't produce the correct results when I'm opted into the new store. I can't remember exactly where it takes me... I believe it's to the root directory of my store. Thanks.

Hi @bigdeals.etc, I just tested this out and the URL created in the old store format will direct to the correct page in the new store format without an issue. For example, I searched for Jewelry in the OPs store through the old format and got this url: http://www.ebaystores.com/Native-Sun-Products/_i.html?_nkw=jewelry&submit=Search&_sid=165770655. When I use this URL, it directs me to the current version of their store with the same search results: https://www.ebay.com/sch/debk255/m.html?_nkw=jewelry.
You can opt into the new store format without any concerns for how your previously marketed URLs will direct your customers, as it will direct them to search results for your items and not general search results.
Additionally, I wanted to add that any seller who would like to opt into the new store format can do so by using this link: http://stores.ebay.com/<store_name>/optout and replacing the <store_name> section with your store name. If you would like to opt back into the old store format, you can do so here.

How come when I do the same search for the OP in their store, I get this URL: https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=debk255&_armrs=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xjewelry.TRS0&_nkw=jewelry&_sacat=0
