New scam or am I missing something?

I received a notification that my item had sold $38+7.50 shipping.   The item was listed at $38 +7.50 shipping or Best offer.   

The buyer sends me a message the amount is wrong he bought for $30.   So I opened the notification and its says "sold for $30 total"   Then under the item its says "sold for $38+7.50 shipping"?

I did not recieve a request for best offer just a sold notification???  Anyone had this happen to them?  I am very confused.

Did you have an auto-accept setting on your listing, so that an offer of that much or higher would be automatically accepted as a sale?

That is weird ,, and you're sure  never accepted a 30 dollar best offer by mistake ? If I were you I guess I'd call e bay and ask them about it. I think there are more gliches in their system happening right now  and that may be the cause  . Give them a call and good luck at getting this straightened out.

Not sure if this would work but try to do a relist and see if it has the option to accept best offer checked. Don't relist just see what settings you had.

Look at the sold item. What amount is it showing sold for? Could ebay have selected an accept offer amount for you without telling you?

The sold for price was $38.00 + $7.50 shipping.   then at the very top it says sold for $30.

You can look at my sold items and see its says sold for $38  its the Betsey Johnson Blanket

Does this have anything to do with me opening a store?   I transferred to being a store yesterday.

You've set your auto select price at $30.00....

• Best offer accepted

It doesn't show here,but there is a line through the $38.00 price...

You can check by going back to the original listing hit relist and check the info you had selected from there just don't hit submit....

Oh! I dont know how that happened.  I've never entered a set price.  Very odd.

OK well at least I know what happened now.
