Has anyone lese noticed the newer dumb mobile (popup inspired) design for the returns process while using a desktop?
Before it was a single concise page with all the info- deductions/ refund orig shipping toggle etc. So confusing to figure out if it automatically withheld the original shipping because it was a remorse return or if the feature is no longer available or if its a glitch or design flaw....
BUT- whatever you do - DONT touch the ask us for help button- i simply was inquiring about the new design and it automatically opened a case and doesn't let you refund anymore- then within minutes an agent "found in favor" of buyer and closed case giving back the buy everything including shipping and also ebay KEEPS the original fees because it was a case instead of a simple return.
So now a simple refund that i was willing to do has cost me the fees and the original shipping and of course every ebay agent that i've contacted has no idea what is going on or how to fix the issue.......

I am not sure of the intent here... is ebay trying to automate the process and simplify the view again?- why take away more control over our transactions with our customers?
is it simply a design that automatically does not refund the original shipping for remorse returns? sound OK but its confusing and as a seller i want the option/control to refund original shipping if i choose too anyway to keep a customer happy if i made a mistake- why doesn't ebay allow me to to choose to do this anymore?
makes no sense and will cause more issues than its worth to have a "pretty " page
