New option for getting help

I noticed that Ebay added new option when click “contact us”.  One is to chat with bot and another to “ask expert seller”.  Did anyone try that? What is it? Are those expert sellers in the community chat?

I hope it doesn't send you here, to the forums.

Do you have an anchor store? We get better CS. Usually people who have a lot of experience selling.

I'm guessing that is the eBay Experts program in partnership with Limitless - it was introduced earlier this year and is basically like a "gig work" customer service options where sellers can sign up and get paid to answer questions.

I didn’t click it yet. I was hoping to get some input from someone who did.

No I don’t have anchor  yet. When Ebay boosts my sales, I will get anchor. Last 3 months are disaster. Or maybe I have disaster in the last 3 months because I am nit in achor subscription?

@partfinds

We opted for an anchor store in October. Just before the marvelous Fall Update.

Then our sales tanked. By any measure, down more than a third.

Note the part about "or we'll connect you to an agent".

I called Chat a LOT last year setting up my various MP accounts and got a live person typing away on the other end.

And I got transcripts of the conversations which were useful in confirming that what was said was what I thought I heard.

These were not the undertrained and beleagured phone reps in Utah boiler rooms. They were very knowledgeable eBay employees. (And yes some were named Ranjit or Ramon, I'm an immigrant myself.)
