How can sellers make accurate listings and factor in shipping on flat rate or free shipping listings when the new calculator give a ridiculous range that includes no information and includes extra charges for Alaska and Hawaii?
Besides it's just wrong- first class is shown to cost the identical amount as priority.... And that is not correct at all
We sellers are tiring of this tool that is limiting out ability to list here on this platform. Who is programming and designing these tools for a multi billion dollar international corporation?

we have our account set up to show ebay discounted rates to buyers and we get reduced rates on first class up to 16oz. So the programming is just not reflecting it i guess. This tool is so infantile and just thumbed its nose at 25 years worth of development that went into making the classic listing tool great. sigh.

Why depend on eBay for accuracy of shipping rates? Know your costs, and create your listings. If you use any of eBay's tools, expect to pay more.

1st class shows as Priority because you have it over 13 ounces. Therefore the buyer is shown "retail" which defers to "Priority" unless you pass your "online" savings on to the buyer.
eBay is aware that some extra charges are not shown at this point for things such as over 22", and over 30".
That changed in April, and eBay IT still has not figured out how to do it.
Here is a thread to follow for an update on the "surcharges" that USPS applied in April. Velvet says "team" is aware, and they are to followup on this. (Don't hold your breath)
Note: Velvet has left the community as of this past week.

I had mainly been using the old set-up and recently switched to see something. Now I do not see how to switch back (I guess they do not want us to). SO frustrating and not as informative. Ridiculous. Do they want to keep us in the dark? I do NOT like the streamlined new listing tool!!!!!!!

I have not met a single person yet that does like the new tool.. I have met some that are indifferent or just do not really list enough to care one way or the other.... but everyone that lists in larger quantities that I have spoken with all dislike it. it takes longer and ignores all obvious advantages of using a computer! It is simply a scaled back phone app and functions like a phone app- not a desktop tool.
At least, at the ebay open, Andrea Stairs admitted that it was not received well and they made changes... what is concerning though is that she made it sound like all is good now and they responded to our feedback!.... that is far from the case- the tool is still so far from a good usable tool on a desktop - it needs way more work!
