I have an item of rare sports memorabilia that I decided I would list on ebay for sale, thinking the exposure would be good.
Didn't want to do it from this account as this is just for purchasing work related items over the years.
I set up the new individual account and was doing all the account info and linked a bank card etc and had my listing submitted (start price £5000. 24 hours later I get an email that my account has been suspended indefinitely and a whole lot of verbal spaghetti worthy of a politician that said nothing about why it was actually suspended.
Seems ridiculous

New account selling high value items? That is considered risk to the community as allot of these new accounts selling high priced stuff are scammers.
If you want to sell something of that value - work your way up as a seller and only then after racking up a number of sales try to sell it.

...new buyers with zero (0) FB are allowed to purchase and scam sellers out of thousand-dollar- value items but sellers with (already) few FB can make a sale in such a certain amount money...blatantly enough with the reason of "risk to the community"...whom would be more risk, scammers/buyers or sellers since MBG fully support the buyers in return and refund...???
...precedence...!!!

Sad to say that this current account you are posting with can also be suspended just because they are related.

I do not know what your limits are in NZ, but new sellers here can not list high dollar items after just opening a new account.
Do you use the .au Australia site?
Not sure if there is a help board there, or different customer service options.
This is the US site, we are not as familiar with the rules there.
Good luck

Once they connect the suspended account with this one, this account might get suspended also.

Did you use the same email name on the new account? That will cause you to get suspended.

Well you know eBay is eager to take money from buyers because it does not affect eBay's wallet when buyer is a scammer.
But what happens when someone sells 5000 item? They get paid, withdraw money, buyer claims INR case and money has to come from somewhere right? So... That is higher risk (to eBay) than buyers.
