Hi, Looks like ebay just included a per-state tax dropdown menu? Just wondering why this would be necessary with Management Payments. Also, this change seems to have wiped out my 30-day return policy. Just wondering if anyone else had this experience. (If your return policy moved from having a Return Policy to saying: "this seller does not accept returns". I know when you do a listing, there is a dropdown for this, but it used to happen automatically. Thank you.

Do you have a screen shot of the per-state tax dropdown to help us understand what you're seeing?

Did not see anything like that when I looked at some of your listings.
But what did catch my eye is your statement that a buyer has only 3 days to open an item not as described case.
Have you read the eBay Money Back Guarantee for buyers? If you do, you will see that a buyer has 30 days to open an item not as described case with eBay, 180 days to open a case with Paypal and probably that long to do a charge back on his credit card.

The country list for sales tax has been a part of the Business Lister for quite some time. The appropriate question is why hadn't eBay been trimming the list after eBay began collecting tax for each of the states. Now that eBay is controlling tax for all 45 taxable states, the list should be removed because it tends to confuse some sellers who select their own state and add a percentage. When the amount is set to zero percent, the listing won't post - until the seller finally selects the "empty" state at the top of the list.
I suspect that eBay has not changed the Business Lister because eBay plans to phase it out in favor of the new Unified Lister.
