New Listing Tool is Too Frustrating & Time Consuming To Use

I tried again yesterday and after 5 hours and 4 calls to customer service- I got a total of 6 listings actually done and live.  By 1pm- I just quit for the day- i could not stand it anymore. Today i did not even bother to try.  This new tool is just not working- the design is distracting and riddled with jarring popups and submenus everywhere and nothing is any sort of logical order.   Maybe it makes sense from a programmer's perspective but as an actual User Interface- its a complete failure for use on a computer desktop or laptop.  ANd then there is the fact that its just simply not even working lately.

Please ebay- help us to help you!- if the listings dry up- so do the fvf's, then the GMV continues to spiral , then the advertising and managed payments fees decline.......... See the trend- WE NEED A LISTING TOOL THAT IS FAST AND EFFICIENT LIKE THE CLASSIC.

Its not baffling. They deliberately made a working system no one was screaming to change, more difficult to use and get listings posted.  They want less small sellers on the site and doing this is a way they know a certain percentage of sellers will regard this as a final straw issue and decide to go elsewhere.  They self-remove and ebay has no direct culpability kicking them off.

I am in antiquarian and collectible books and have been moved over to the new tool in both stores.  It just doesn't work for old books.  It used to be filling in author, publisher, illustrator was simply a matter of typing it in.  Now it takes 3 steps.  And printing year, which is so important for old books is hidden under the "show more" tab.  Pictures take forever to be done, they used to be instant.  And lo and behold if you are doing some buy it nows and some auctions switching between them is practically impossible because the slide button won't move.  I only got 3 listings done today.  This is a nightmare.

I'm just hoping eBay takes a MAJOR nosedive so we can get new management who has a clue as to how to create a user-friendly UI that caters to sellers for a change. eBay doesn't sell a **bleep** thing - they are only a platform or marketplace. Sellers are the only reason there are items to buy on eBay. I know this sounds simplistic (and it is), but I think eBay forgets this.

If you asked sellers, I bet 90+% would say the new design sucks compared to the old one. I bet the same percentage would say the same thing about Seller Hub vs. Classic View seller page.

Cater exclusively to mobile users at your own peril, eBay. I understand websites need to change to keep up with the times, but this current iteration simply isn't going to work, if for no other reason than the increased amount of time and extra clicks it takes simply to perform the same tasks.

Do they think an army of fickle, short-attention-span millennials selling high-end items is going to lead them to success? Yeah, good luck with that.

Bottom line: eBay is the most cumbersome, illogical, poorly designed, difficult-to-use website in the online marketplace arena by a long shot . . . and it keeps getting worse.

The images also take forever to be edited.  You edit - which is quick.  Click Save and then Done and then wait for the little spinning arrow to get done before you can edit another photo.  And of course the new form flips them all this way and that so they have to be rotated.  And now, latest glitch, I upload photos and POOF they are gone.  I have to upload them again and sometimes POOF again.  It even happened once after I finished editing them all.   So frustrating!!

"Sometimes, ya gotta plow through instead of trying to go around" yep plow through that wall of fire or avalanche or tidal wave.....who would think going around makes sense?

Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. Worked pretty well for David Farragut at Mobile Bay not so much for George Pickett at Gettysburg.
