Have any Ebay code writers ever listed on ebay? This new page is terrible please reactivate the old page immediately. This is the most time consuming poorly laid out page to date. There are so many bugs in ebay and you took time to create this monstrosity? I think our fees should drop by 75% since listing efficiency will not shrink at least that much. Please Please reactivate the old page as an option ASAP. Thanks for your time

The new listing form is a prime example of why it is useful to read this board--every day.
Having read about the misery this "improvement" inflicts on laptop listers, I was somewhat mentally prepared when my old, trusty bookmark brought up that shiny new landing page.
Ugh, I thought. But, armed with knowledge gained on this board, I was able to stagger though the popups and odd placements and get my auction done in only 3 times normal.

It was, it even glitched a tried to list a duplicate.

This new listing template is so poor and inefficient, my listing time has more than doubled for each item. I have been on Ebay for over 20 years, and I am considering taking my business elsewhere. These changes for the worse are inexcusable. Don't even get me started on the fees (taking percentages of my shipping fees and taxes...etc). I would not recommend ANYONE to sell on Ebay anymore. 10 years ago, I wouldn't have recommended anywhere else.

This is my 25th year on Ebay, the new listing page is bad, confusing, almost unusable, hard to understand. Please return to original listing page. I'm old and don't have time to waist.

They must have never listed anything. Changes for the sake of changes to justify their jobs.
STOP

Well, there is no solution so the OP might as well mark their own post as the solution if they want. Sure, better to leave it as unsolved. Might even get eBay to look at it. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Yes, eez vairy funny joke, Meester Bagmann.

After a few months of using this it is getting a bit better, however the title autofills still only work ~ 25% of the time. Can ebay please improve this?

eBay doesn't read these forums. However, the autofill is pulled from the title, so as their semantic indexing improves, that may improve, too.

Perspective is useful.
I really liked the SYI (Sell Your Item) form back in '94 before there was ANY buyer/seller feedback. I did find it irritating that when I changed my seller handle in '97 and lost all of my sales history, preferences and they reset my 'User since' date to 1997, but I learned to cope.
Testing a platform like eBay requires a matrix of Operating Systems (Windows 9-11, Mac OS X through current, Android, etc.) multiplied by Supported Browsers (Edge, Chrome, Safari, etc.) and an endless number of phones with various screen sizes, resolutions and idiosyncrasies.
Now add to that a group of Product Managers who are paid to 'Think up new changes' or they get fired. Could they do better? You bet. Could they do worse? They sure USED TO. Teams were notoriously behind the curve meeting the needs of every weird category of sales, from Books to Pet Rocks. Then a new technology would be released (new phone, new OS, new browser) and the overhead to avoid a total meltdown consumed a large portion of each 'Release Train' scheduled. Updates LAGGED.
AFTER all that, we come to Usability. eBay does a TON of usability and offers many feedback opportunities. But, like the newest menu items at MacDonalds...they dont always cater to our particular tastes. (Dont take my McRib, they exclaim!)
Sounds like I am defending what seems like is often a house of cards...I am not. I have been on both sides and know many who have worked on the product teams inside. I am also a buyer / seller of more than 25yrs. Just trying to share a little perspective...Join a Seller workshop and tell them your story.

This is an old thread, but the OP took the trouble to come back and update, which is great. I helped with the beta version of the new SYI (which was awful), and it is now (for me) quick and easy to use after going through quite a few iterations since this thread was started. I understand what you're saying concerning the development constraints, but there is also more resistance to change of any kind on this site than any of the other platforms I've sold (and I've sold on quite a few).
