New Invoice Format

We just sold an auction item and went to send the invoice.  We always add a little not on the invoice that we sell.  Now, we have to insert the shipping charge and the state tax to be collected... before eBay always filled that in.  How is a seller supposed to know the tax tables for another state and locality? I am hoping eBay has already sent the invoice to the buyer, as before.  Is there a way to get to the old format for the invoice?  Any thoughts?

     First reach out to your buyer and see if eBay sent them an invoice. I have not see what you are describing in attempting to send an invoice. Is eBay prompting you for that information or is there some other issue? It could be possible that the buyer lives in a state with no sales tax where did it ship to?

I just sent an invoice yesterday and the tax was added by Ebay on it.  It had 5.3% VA tax added to it.    Mine didn't have the shipping charge on it because I do free shipping.

Yes, eBay sends an invoice to the buyer. You have no reason to do so

It is going to Missouri.  EBay prompts to add the shipping and the sales tax.  Has a place to comment to eBay on the new format.  This is for a Structo Trailer that the auction just completed.

That makes sense.  Still have to fill in the rest of the info.  Shipping is a flat rate.. still have to fill it in.  We will wait to see if the buyer pays from the invoice sent by eBay.  Thanks for the help!

I have not yet been introduced to the "new format" but I hardly ever send an invoice to the buyer since eBay already does so. However, this "new format" really doesn't sound like an improvement.
