New GTC policy going into effect March 2019

So Ebay has decided to automatically resist all our fixed priced listings for us.  I'm sure under the guise that it's just to help sellers out.  Well, it doesn't.  It's actually just another way for them to increase their own profits.  I like the 30 day option because I can go through my listings and decide which ones I want to get rid of or reduce the prices on. Now it's just going to renew constantly with Ebay pocketing a little more money every time some renews that I really didn't want to.  It never ends with Ebay.

Fight back.... close the auctions on day 29. I have 2 ebay accounts and part of the description will be that I have no choice but to close auction on day 29 to prevent the ebay greedy pigs from stealing my hard earned money. If I keep fees down, my prices will be lower.

I see why you want to put that in your description, but just a thought, that could get your listings pulled as ebay does not allow negative verbiage in listings.

With GTC, you can end a listing anytime you want, so, you want to get rid of it? End it. No problem, no penalty.

With GTC, you can reduce the price or make revisions anytime you want. You can set up your own schedule to review GTC listings. Every 10 days? Every 40 days? Whatever you want, or just review them and revise them anytime at all.

I totally agree!!!!! It is always some new stunt done to sellers I feel by ebay. I used to love free listings given out not anymore im not doing a happy dance no more. Can't stand GTC can's stand when they forced us to let buyers make offers also that was not to long ago to. I am trying to stay with 50 listings trying to figure this mess out. I refuse to pay insertion fees plus almost 16% once sold I post a lot of junk just see if sells so dont want to pay insertion fees over and over again for items that may sit. But sales will go down with having to remove 200 of my listings so not to go over 50 on accts. Ebay has made me mad repeatedly on messing with ad procedures.

Totally agree - this month I have only 2 sales (both were from earlier bids on auction items) with a total of 2000 listings and 2 Ebay stores. It is nuts. Ebay rep told me almost all calls to them are to complain about GTC. Now that Paypal is no longer going to return fees for money returned to buyers it is just another stab in the back. I am downgrading 1 store end of this month when the annual subscription ends and will do the same with the other store likewise. The next big stab will be when we are forced to let Ebay manage all the payments. That should turn out to be a complete fiasco when Ebay can't even get fees correct and constantly have so called glitches. I hope that other good selling venues quickly pop up for us to sell from.
