I just wanted to share my recent neutral feedback with everyone.
"I think it would have been cheaper to buy locally instead of online."
Add that to the list of stupid neutrals. 😉
Have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone.

I guess it depends if they can find it cheaper locally or not. Reach out to them and ask them where and at what price is it being sold. It is a little sus that they start their feedback with "I think" but maybe they did see it listed for less somewhere or maybe it was a shipping issue (timing) where they needed it sooner. Who knows unless you ask them.

Well I guess the positive (no pun intended) here is that it was grey and not red 😁

Memo to self:
eBay sellers are interacting with the general public.

This is hardly ever true if you figure in the price of transportation and your time. For me especially, if I need something buying online is cheaper. If I walk into a store stuff I don't need and had no intention of buying magically jumps into my cart.

Even if you could buy it 10x cheaper locally, why would it be my fault that he decided to buy it from me? LOL

If it was cheaper, maybe their feedback was honest (transaction) and not a reflection of you personally.
Who knows unless you reach out to them. Try using some of your customer service charm and see if you can flip that gray to green.
No one is going to care about that feedback, and it will get lost in the mix within days/hours. Your cranking sales this month so don't let this hold you back @inhawaii .

With your great eBay record, you shouldn't give this much thought, it's already on about Pg 5.
But weren't you tempted to reply: May I humbly suggest that, next time, you might want to shop around locally before committing to buy on eBay. And, if the price was not visible to you before you made the purchase, I am so sorry to hear that.

Agreed.
Sometimes you can see a lower price online and when you click it, the item is sold out or unavailable. Perception can be everything (to buyers), and the slightest price difference can make buyers feel cheated.

ehhh...their opinion...it's fine....but I would have replied....
"I, too, like to support local businesses and buy locally whenever possible, but in our busy every day lives I hope I was able to provide a value added to you by getting your item safely delivered to you in a timely manor. Thank you for your support!!"

The worst part is we as a seller can see it for a whole year...and the seller can get blame for anything.
Doesn't really affect the seller and actually adds to the blocked buyer list...
I think the worst part is not getting buyers to leave positive feedbacks even if they are happy.
Some of my 'repeat buyers'....don't leave feedback....wouldn't it be great if they did?

Because, of course, it has to be YOUR FAULT, can't possibly be theirs.

"No arms were twisted during this transaction".

As a buyer, I would ignore that feedback. It doesn't tell me anything useful for making up my mind whether or not to buy from a particular seller.
Especially since the prices are in a larger bold font, compared to the listing title (before buyer chooses to click and see more about the listing).
